So maybe you’re thinking “Whoa, that was a lot of jargon…”
In other words, this is a 'dip your toe in' starter newsletter for people wanting to see how DEI and accessibility relate to art & design as well as to their day-to-day lives. It's, hopefully, a brave space to ask the awkward or hard questions and to get curious about lived experiences or perspectives you hadn't thought of before.
In the “SBLTN Lab Notes” newsletter, you’ll get these core 3 topics in each edition:
Accessibility - See what's happening in the field of accessibility and get tips on implementing accessible practices in your business
Diversity & Inclusion - Poke your head into some discussions of diversity and inclusion then go beyond being a fly on the wall by seeing how you can engage with causes or learn about people different from you
Art & Design - Since social impact and restorative justice can be heavy sometimes, take a breather by looking at some pretty art and design. From silly games to cool branding campaigns, you can get some creative inspo too!
Other perks? Exclusive content that you won’t find on the ‘Gram and resources for accessibility, diversity and inclusion. Now and then I’ll share what I’m listening to or reading, how I put these practices to work with clients, or what’s been on my mind.

If About Me pages bore you, here’s the recap:
Sublation, “SBLTN”, is a design and discussion studio focused on intersectionality, accessibility, and diversity through inclusive practices and advocacy.
The Studio offers creative services such as consulting, strategy, and brand identity design with a focus on intersectionality and advocacy (Studio Instagram @sublationstudio)
The Lab focuses on inclusive design through the IDEA principles of intersectionality, diversity, equity, and accessibility
“Sublation” refers to a concept introduced by German philosopher Hegel. This term suggests that when seemingly contradictory things or ideas intersect, they have the potential to produce something more powerful than either could alone. Sublation is integration without elimination. Pretty dope, huh?
