"I don't have a fancy business degree (I can barely run my own)" - RELATABLE. Every biz advice I've gotten (set financial quarterly goals, create a marketing plan, etc) has never ever served me well. I don't know if that's because of me or cause the things really don't work like how they should.
At this point my biz feels like it's being held together by masking tape and the next strong gust that comes through is gonna tear it down lol. Running a biz is just guessing and getting lucky and no one can convince me otherwise at this point 😂
I've tried some of the tactics and I don't know if I was doing them wrong, not doing them long enough, if they were for bigger businesses and that's not me, etc. And it's also impossible to follow all the advice, even just a handful of it, when you're only 1 person.
Ahhh I LOVE that for you!! Solid goals! I also love that they're vague enough that you can pivot - I think SMART goals are overrated (I can't even remember what the acronym stands for lol)

For 2024 my main biz goals are:
(1) financial stability/predictability/consistency
(2) a small list of things that I KNOW for sure move the needle and skipping anything else - just being brutal with my time and deep focus
(3) enjoying what I do - even if it's different from what I do now
